The Free & Open Source Web Browser, Firefox is the faster, more secure, and fully customizable way to surf the web

FireFox is the Open Source answer to Internet Explorer

Today I am going to start a new series of posting here at MrBup.com. The new series is titled, Living under a Rock. This is to be comprehensive list of open source software that runs on MS Windows. Chances are that if you haven’t heard of these you very well may have been living under a rock in some remote desert land.

For our first open source Living Under a Rock posting we choose Firefox. Honestly, if you haven’t at least heard of this open source answer to web browsing and you own a computer, you have definitely been crouch down underneath some Afghani desert rock. I only say that because something like 50% of the Internet’s users browse the Web with Firefox. Firefox is the open source answer to Window Internet Explorer and it has been available for free download for quite a few years now. As of this writing the latest release is version 3.0.5.

Today, the World Wide Web is all about innovation, and Firefox sets the pace. Firefox offers tabbed browsing, one click bookmarking, full zoom, blazing fast browsing, and many, many more features.
